In September we’re organizing the first edition of the Northwave Security Bootcamp: a 4-day program during which 20-30 talented students from different backgrounds will come together to challenge their cybersecurity skills, in terms of people, processes, and technology. In small multidisciplinary teams, you will work together to assist a fictional company in their security struggles and potentially even save them from disaster. This challenging assignment will have several focus areas, including security awareness, business security, cyber resilience, crisis management, digital forensics, incident response, and information security management. Moreover, the program will also include presentations from experts on various cyber security related topics and the opportunity to network with students and professionals in the security world.

Can you translate security problems and solutions into compelling cases for C-level executives? Can you convince executives of the risks and opportunities of cybersecurity? Can you convince an audience that is primarily interested in business? Then the Northwave Security Bootcamp is for you! The program is open to anyone who is…

• …interested in cyber security
• …interested in working in multidisciplinary teams
• …doing or starting a master’s degree in psychology, information technology, IT law, crisis & security management, cyber security, or another relevant program. Any study background is allowed as long as you can explain how it’s connected to cyber security.
• …available from 5-8 September
• …willing to pay the fee of €150. This covers the 4-day fulltime program, lunch on the first and last day, network drinks on the first day, and accommodation in Utrecht for the duration of the program.
