Change in the management of Northwave Deutschland GmbH

Leipzig, 25th of January 2024

On 1 January 2024, Mrs. Eileen Walther took over the position of General Manager of Northwave Deutschland GmbH, servicing the DACH-region, from their base in Leipzig. In her new role, she will be responsible for the management of the cyber security provider for the entire DACH region. Eileen Walther previously worked successfully as Country Manager Germany for Northwave for four years and has contributed significantly to the success in this region.

She takes over the position from Marc de Jong Luneau, who will join the management of Northwave Nordics from 1 January 2024 in addition to his role as Chief Commercial Officer of the Northwave Group. Both have built up the German subsidiary of the Dutch Northwave Group together in recent years and developed it into a serious competitor in the DACH region. The increasing demand for professional cyber security services in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is reflected in a growing customer base. A continuously growing team of over 30 German-speaking security specialists is available to customers at any time.

Steven Dondorp, CEO of Northwave Group: "I am delighted to appoint Eileen Walther the role of General Manager DACH. She has already proven her extensive expertise in her previous position as Country Manager DACH. Her knowledge and experience in the field of cyber security make her the ideal candidate for this key position. I have full confidence in her ability to continue Northwave's success story in the DACH region."

Eileen Walther, born and raised in the Netherlands, can look back on an impressive career. Before joining Northwave, she gained several years of experience with the Dutch Criminal Investigation Department, where she helped set up and lead the High-Tech Crime Unit. As a liaison officer, she worked closely with the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA). In addition to her professional activities, Eileen Walther volunteers for DiversIT and as a cyber mentor to support young female talents. She is a sought-after speaker in the field of cyber security, from the BSI Congress to the Handelsblatt Cyber Security Conference.

Under the leadership of Eileen Walther, Northwave Deutschland GmbH looks forward to a promising future and continues to focus on expertise, innovation and first-class service in the field of cyber security. Follow Northwave and Eileen Walther on Linkedin for more information.
