Security Engineer

What you do

You will be responsible for maintaining our detection platform, building new detections and making sure our technology stack is future proof.

As a Security Engineer you will be involved in further developing, scaling and efficiently setting up our technology stack (tooling & applications). In addition, you work on optimization of cloud monitoring, technical coordination with other teams (Security Operations, CERT & Red Team), service coordination with business & behavior consultancy teams, research and analysis towards a more optimized Use Case library and guiding other engineers so they can grow in their profession. You will also support in more complex customer implementations, work on automating SOC processes and guide life-cycle management of security applications. In the area of Site Reliability Engineering improve the up-time and mean-time-to-recovery of our monitoring service. As a Security Engineer you know your way around IT infrastructure, and of course Cybersecurity is in your blood.

The team

In addition to Security Engineers, Analysts and Security Operations Managers work in the SOC. Our Analysts follow up on reports and conduct investigations. The Security Operations Managers monitor services for and with their customers and ensure that monitoring remains well aligned with customer risks. Automation plays a major role in the SOC. Our rapid growth requires continuous work on scalability, efficiency and quality. The in-house developed software ranges from reporting tools and external API links to 24/7 mission-critical alarm routing and enrichment. It is necessary to continuously align SOC services with the increasing number of customers and their requirements.

  • Several years of experience in a similar position
  • An independent and structured way of working
  • Good communication skills
  • Extensive experience with Linux
  • Knowledge of programming is an advantage (Python)
