Educational Level:

Implementation engineer

What you do

You are responsible for implementing and updating the technical part of our service at our customers.

As an Implementation Engineer, you will work with the customer to implement the technical components of the Security Operations Center (SOC) service. Within Northwave you will do this together with a team of Engineers who all have their own specialty. This ranges from knowledge about our backends to knowledge about the various security products. Your added value lies in having the conversation with the customer. You know what the possibilities are for monitoring and together with the customer you determine which aspects need to be monitored. These can be various existing detection mechanisms. If these do not already exist, you investigate how customer-specific requirements can be incorporated.

The Northwave SOC uses several security vendors to increase cyber security at our customers. The primary security products are Microsoft Azure Sentinel and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. Within this role, your technical skills are most important. If you have not yet worked within the IT security domain, we will train you internally.

The team

Automation plays a major role in our SOC. Our rapid growth requires continuous work on scalability, efficiency and quality. We automate away repetitive work as much as possible. The in-house developed software ranges from reporting tools and external API links to 24/7 mission-critical alarm routing and enrichment. It is necessary to continuously align SOC services with the increasing number of customers and their requirements.
